1. The Marketplace

Asankah is a platform that connects buyers with independent vendors who list and sell products and services. We do not manufacture, warehouse, or ship items ourselves (unless we explicitly state otherwise). Vendors are responsible for their listings, orders, and compliance with applicable laws.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the platform. By using Asankah, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Accounts

You may register as a customer or apply to become a vendor. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

Vendor accounts may be subject to approval. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.

4. Purchases and Payments

When you place an order, you are entering into a contract with the vendor. Payment is processed through our payment partners (including Stripe and Paystack) depending on your region and the currency of the transaction. Prices and availability are set by vendors; we display them in the relevant local currency where supported.

You agree to pay all applicable fees, taxes, and shipping costs. Refunds and returns are handled in accordance with the vendor's policy and applicable law; we may facilitate dispute resolution but are not the seller of the goods or services.

5. Vendors

Vendors are independent sellers. By listing on Asankah, vendors agree to:

• Provide accurate listings and fulfil orders in a timely manner
• Comply with our vendor guidelines and any commission or fee terms
• Handle customer enquiries and disputes in good faith
• Not list prohibited items or engage in fraudulent or misleading conduct

Commission rates and payout terms are set by the platform and communicated to vendors. Payouts may be subject to thresholds and processing times as described in our help and vendor dashboard.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the platform to:

• Violate any law or infringe the rights of others
• List or sell illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited items
• Harass, defraud, or mislead other users or Asankah
• Attempt to circumvent our systems, security, or fees
• Scrape data or use automated means without our permission

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

7. Intellectual Property

Asankah and its branding, design, and platform technology are owned by us or our licensors. Vendors retain ownership of their own content (e.g. images and descriptions). By listing on the platform, vendors grant us a licence to use and display that content in connection with operating the marketplace.

8. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of vendor listings or for the actions of vendors or buyers. Any dispute between a buyer and a vendor is primarily between them; we may assist in resolution but are not liable for their conduct or agreements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Asankah and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability in connection with these Terms or the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred units of the relevant currency, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Asankah and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time for breach of these Terms or for any other reason. You may close your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect after termination.

12. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Asankah operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the platform shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where prohibited. You may also have rights under consumer protection laws in your country.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform.
